Cycle Laos to Cambodia This challenge starts in the beautiful country of Laos and follows the famous Mekong river through the heart of Cambodia, eventually arriving at Siem Reap where we experience the ancient temples of the Angkor kingdom. What lies in between is a journey of discovery; spectacular landscapes, wonderful wildlife, UNESCO world heritage sites and the warmth and charm of the people. What more could we want from our Mekong adventure?
Pakistan Hunza Trek For the adventure-lover, there are few places in the world that can compare to the valleys of Naltar, Gigit and Hunza. Surrounded by five and six thousand meter high peaks, it contains some of Asia’s most mind-blowing landscapes, with extraordinary trekking and stunning emerald green and turquoise lakes. The untouched forests of Naltar are now a protected game reserve, supported by WWF.
Tanzania Serengeti Trek The Unesco World Heritage site of the Ngorongoro Crater is set within a rugged and beautiful volcano rising from the Great Rift Valley. There is always an unparalleled concentration of wildlife which gives us the opportunity of close-range animal viewing. We explore this very special area on foot with the local Massai tribes and Africa’s great wildlife. Our trek highlight is a midnight climb to the top of the ‘Mountain of God’ volcano, in time for sunrise, and a Tanzanian safari, making this an unforgettable African adventure.
Ladakh Indian Himalayan Trek This truly is a stunning trek through the Magical Buddhist kingdom of Ladakh, passing charming villages and monasteries, and offering magnificent views of the Himalayas including the highest peak Stok Kangri at 6100m, Karakoram and the rugged Zanskar range. Our trek passes through the Hemis National park and we may even see Bharal (blue sheep), Snow Leopard and Golden Eagles circling above.
Cambodia Trek This challenge is one that lets you into the real essence of Cambodia. We trek to and visit Tonle Sap lake, part of the life blood of Cambodia, and then spend 4 days trekking through villages and ancient historical sites dating back 800 years to the great Khmer empires that ruled so much of southeast Asia. We see life that has been untouched by too much modernisation, and the warmth and friendliness of the Cambodian people leaves us with perhaps our greatest memories on this challenge.
Laos Trek Dominated by its neighbours, China, Thailand and Vietnam, Laos is often considered the quiet, underdeveloped neighbour. With this in its favour we experience the fantastic city of Luang Prabang, the rural life of Hmong and Khmu tribes, the scenic Mekong River and the pristine forests of Kamu as we challenge ourselves to trek through this beautiful country.
Mount Kenya Climb Mount Kenya is the second highest mountain in Africa after Kilimanjaro. Lying almost on the equator, it is permanently capped by snow and ice above 4600m (15000ft), and several glaciers descend from the massif along radial valleys. The sense of achievement to get to the peak of Point Lenana at 4985 meters (16355ft) leaves you breathless not only from the altitude but also from the beauty of the surrounding Kenyan countryside.
